Hi, I'm Laura

I’m currently based in Cambridgeshire and work in fashion as a content creator. I began this blog back in 2013 as a way to expand on my love of fashion writing. At the time I was feeling pretty self-conscious so creating this platform not only allowed me to share my passion but also boost my confidence. These days you'll most likely find me in my natural habitat of wearing a massive sports jersey, binging netflix and scrolling through holidays sites.

With Christmas only a matter of days away, it can only mean that New Year’s Eve is fast approaching and that can only mean one thing, parties! Over the next two days I’ll be posting some different outfit ideas for the big night. First up is this monochromatic styled look, I adore monochrome, it’s a trend that never ages. This look is pretty chic, it’s perfect if you’re out for dinner in the evening before hitting the bars for a few cocktails later on.

There is nothing more elegant and clean cut than a midi skirt. If you are like me and you happen to have larger hips and bum but paired with a smaller waist, midi skirts are something you should have hung up in your wardrobe. They cling to all of the right places!
Lets talk about this gorgeous jumper! So it’s cropped hem also has three-quarter sleeves which is ideal for wintery nights that end up in over crowded, heated bars. The mixture of fabrics and shapes also enhance the waist again, the jumper just gives the outfit a causal vibe to counteract the formality the skirt brings.
I’ve styled this look with a black zipped clutch and lace up heels. Heels are a must on New Years Eve, especially with midi skirts by wearing heels it makes you bum look bigger and most people want that! A simple black and white look has to be topped off with bright red lips and a smokey eye.
