Hi, I'm Laura

I’m currently based in Cambridgeshire and work in fashion as a content creator. I began this blog back in 2013 as a way to expand on my love of fashion writing. At the time I was feeling pretty self-conscious so creating this platform not only allowed me to share my passion but also boost my confidence. These days you'll most likely find me in my natural habitat of wearing a massive sports jersey, binging netflix and scrolling through holidays sites.

If you fancy getting in contact with me just send an email to: hello@laurajayres.com

I will hold my hands up and say Autumn is my favourite season, it’s full of warm colours, hot drinks and jumpers. I’m really enjoying contrasting of the softness of suede and the harshness of leather, it replicates the change in the seasons.
A-line skirts are a must within the seventies trend especially if they have a flirtatious centre zip! The colourings are very autumnal, pairing suede oxblood – the colour of
the season – with a mix of black and tan leather.
Patchwork is a huge throwback to the craft era, the mixing of materials is chic and just screams autumn! It’s quirky while appearing relaxed and casual, splicing materials is not just for the hippies or updating a pair of worn out jeans anymore it’s a huge stylistic trend!
I matched this skirt up with a faux suede button up which blurs the lines of formal and casual meaning it can be wore day or night. The material is thick which is perfect as the weather begins to take a turn for the cold, it also works as a jacket over other tops too.
These booties are my world at the moment! They are the ideal transitional item between the seasons, I for one adore a pointed shoe and these scream Saint Laurent but for a margin of the price at only £32.99! It couples with the fringe of the bag, another element of the seventies trend that is here to stay.
