TONS OF TEXTURE
Hello guys, I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and are looking forward to the new year!
Normally when I think of sales I think of crowds, brutality and getting a headache – either I have watched Confessions of a Shopaholic one too many times or been in some serious sale brawls! Either way with this mentality it means I normally avoid shops for a good week after Christmas as I just don’t have the effort to deal with the hype, however this year I braved it and I have to say it paid off. Even if I did buy a few things that weren’t in the sale…
One of my favourite purchases out of the sale has to be this super comfy jumper which is so warm and perfect to quickly throw on. Due to the polo-esque neck, the oversized shape, cropped hem and the quilted effect it becomes this must-have piece which can be worn on a chilly night in or a fun night out, I think with the right skirt or even leather trousers this jumper is ideal for going out shopping or going to dinner.
Everyone need a versatile jumper!
This look is full of a wide variety of textures which I am normally not a massive fan of however I have found that you don’t need to wear bold colours to get an effect because the mix of textures is a lot less obvious but still dramatic.
Croc is very popular print this season, I already have a black skirt I wore a few posts ago that has a croc pattern and I am wearing it to death! This cute metallic skirt is simply gorgeous, I had been eyeing it up for quite a while and was pleasantly surprised when I saw it was in the sale – it was obviously fate!
Another twist of materials comes from my faithful clutch with it’s asymmetrical zip, which has a croc print and a faux leather flapover. The bag’s colouring contrasts with the tone of the jumper making it a statement yet at the same time softening the look into a feminine, going out look.
Noticeably I have my beloved pom pom in tow just because I am still obsessing over it and I am trying to wear it with everything. It’s the perfect combination of chic and sassy.
On my feet are these lovely peeptoe heels which were my first sale purchase from New Look. They have a padded overlay and are so comfortable I can wear them all day without any issue which I find rare with most shoes with a heel.
I bought my pair before Christmas and looking at them now they have actually had their sale price reduced to only £11!
